Julia has been a practicing Canadian Certified Pedorthist since 2014. She has worked at and operated clinics across Canada and has treated hundreds of satisfied customers and patients.
She has treated many patients with medical conditions that can cause foot issues such as diabetes, arthritis, post-polio syndrome, cerebral palsy, and more.
Julia is a former varsity track and field athlete with the University of Western Ontario. This combined with her personal interests in volleyball, soccer, hiking, running and waterskiing gives her a unique insight into the worlds of both competitive and recreational activities and the challenges that each present.
Julia’s interest in feet started early in life as she suffered from chronic foot pain for many of her athletic years. She was intrigued by how her orthotics helped alleviate pain in her lower limb joints. From these experiences, she developed a passion for the mechanics of the foot and how little adjustments can make a big difference.
This passion led her to a degree in Kinesiology and a diploma in Pedorthics. Her background in athletics helped further her education to better understand human movement and the effects of injuries.
Julia understands foot pain from her own experiences and is determined to help her patients also achieve relief.
